Gaithersburg Show this weekend

This is most certainly not a model show to my experience. This show consists of railroadiana like timetables, lanterns, china, silver, books, builders plates, etc. The models that I have seen over the years consists of a dealer or two with mostly Lionel stuff. At the last show in 2019, I carried a bunch of models for the Society, higher end stuff like Scaletrains SD-40-2s and had virtually nobody even bothered to look at them.

Not saying they were not there, just not much. However, if you want to see museum grade materials, mostly for sale and literally a few tons of stuff, it is worth the effort.

I’ve been going to this show since the early 1980s, just my experience.
