The cab windows are probably the same orange as steam locomotives, as that was a standard. Everthing I have ever seen was orange, excepting 611 in the excursion era, which were painted Tuscan. I did not like it, because it is not accurate for history.
I have one of my father’s slides taken of an engineer going west along New River and the orange window color is very evident. I think the closest I could come in model format would have been early Milwaukee Road orange, or PFE Orange.
Just my opinion for what little it is worth.
