Rural Retreat Depot is open today

Can't wait to see it again.  Last time I was there, it needed 'help'.  The restoration looks fantastic!  Wytheville/Rural Retreat are beautiful towns.  Hopefully, I can make a trip up that way soon.  I need a 'train fix' that only Roanoke can satisfy.

Mr. Hodges,
The historic Depot is restored, and is operated as a meeting space and a museum. There are exhibits about the various railroad owners, O. Winston Link, Dr Pepper, and more. The freight scales were restored to working order, and there is a station order on the wall dated 1893, original telegraph equipment, and a lot of donated railroad memorabilia.
