SW7 3362

So, 3362, picture from 1977(RB29687) , no line under the number.  So, two years later, it has a line under the number (RB29688).Somebody took the coupler alignment (whatever Jimmy Lisle called it) from under the locomotive?  Could someone explain why?Thank you,Mike Shockley
