Re: K1 in start of movie “Giant”

Just a "for what its worth", my late father-in-law was an agent/operator on the C&O, living in Charlottesville at the time Giant was filmed. My late mother-in-law told me how she went over to Keswick to watch the big production, and of course to see Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor. She remembered the K1, but of course in the 1950s, it was just another steam locomotive. -Ed Burnett, Lynchburg, Virginia
