Correct. The LC-1 was articulated and the LC-2 was rigid with two sets of driven wheels. The change probably had to do with the fact that the LC-2 had two larger motors instead of the four smaller ones in the LC-1; but that is just my guess.

Did the LC 2 have “rigid” drivers that were driven from each end like duplex steam? I see that the center two drivers aren’t connected to each other. Am I correct that the LC 2 was not articulated?
If I’m correct, why did they change designs?
