Does Anybody Remember A Particular N&W Railroad Police Officer?

 In the course of train watching, nearly 50 years ago, I had an encounter with an N&W Railroad Police Officer that I wonder if anybody knew.  He was actually a rather pleasant gentleman that I have a very fond memory.  I don’t remember his first name, but he was a Lieutenant and his last name was phonetically pronounced “By-Rum.”  Unfortunately, I don’t recall the exact spelling of his last name.  If any one knows more about him, I would be glad to elaborate on the circumstances of my encounter with him.
