They were use all over the system . We had one of the last ones here at
Kenova on the Coach Track and Old Main they are a holdover from the style B
days
And mostly likely would have been on the main line not on the branch's as
those signal systems are much newer. All the Position Lights where added on
to them many years later

Jim, Your photo of the signal with curved brackets is the eastbound
signal on the Pokey Main just before the junction with the Clinch Valley
Line at MP 367.5. That signal stood at the junction for many years, is
in many steam-era photos, and was relocated at least once. It would have
been a nice one to save.
The other double-mast signal (with straight brackets) is interesting in
the fact that it cannot display 'Clear' on either side. Anyone know it's
location?
