dwarf CPL minutia

All,
It appears that when the change from PL to CPL was made ('64), there were
still 2 styles of US&S dwarf signals in use that were converted. The older
style had a curved right hand side, while the newer style had a curved left
hand side. The signal section of an NS employee timetable from 1992
appears to indicate that the newer style dwarves could display "stop",
"restricting" , and "slow clear". However, for the older style, I can only
find evidence for them being able to display "stop" and "restricting".
Can anyone corroborate, disprove, or generally comment on the above? I
would like very much to be able to pass on correct information to someone
who may be interested in producing these.
Thanks,
Jim Cochran
