Hi,

For what it's worth, I'm in my 30's I definitely enjoy the history of the
N&W. I often joke that is a real shame the N&W stopped existing after 1959.
In a similar fashion, I don't care about the machines after steam died, but
reading about newer railroading is fun.

If we covered the NS as a current look to what happened to the n&w I think
that would be interesting.

I get the need to keep a connection to the current world. Just to give a
point in time, I don't even remember when the 611 was in excursion service
the first time.

Someone I knew used to do consulting for the N&W. He said that "while it
was one of the most profitable roads, it was the most resistant to change."
