This photo of a signal bridge in Norfolk left me with at least a couple
questions:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/388367514873?_skw=norfolk+western&itmmeta=01JTJWM592EKKV00VB12ND4CVR&hash=item5a6c81fcf9:g:wsoAAOSwQ2Jn7IOw&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1dPZ4%2FyEf4ONb1bej8Czeq1fZTnvm%2BoCUoTndaDeK2cjm%2BFaAvTgRzC%2FaVRE8ruH7WN47XyjmlTCagAMEcI%2B4GP9f2C9fnpbIMos4H7XMLqiEQ%2F5DtZl7NfGKLax5UqbeF86v6c7caY2tGY0JoDpn7zN8XDNm%2FLMU%2BaDp9t4kPmWWoACR9n9CiYVNRGGYgIBP0chtlZe7aiU4a9sfrM0E61Gf5JW3wT2dkgg9NEunO1TtdGu2zroFr8RKks%2BtXB8hM%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_LU0NzUZQ

First, there are two very prominent red things in the picture that appear
to be signal lights, but have no hood for glare protection which makes me
wonder what they are and their purpose. The first is the bottom position
of the vertical oval mounted just to the left of the leftmost switch
signal. The other is in the top right of the frame and is also mounted in
a vertical oval background, but what is above it is cut off in the photo.
Second, there is something that appears to be an electrical housing or
assembly mounted on the signal bridge in the furthest left position.
Can anyone shed some light (pun intended) on what these signal devices
might be?
Thanks,
Jim Cochran
