<DIV>Yes, bad news however Kodak has not process Kodachrome in several
years. This work was transferred to Dwaynes Photo in Parsons Kansas and
they will still continue to process Kodachrome along with Fuji slide film.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Do an internet search (<A
href="http://www.dogpile.com">www.dogpile.com</A>) and you can get their URL and
telephone number and web site. Unfortunally you will have to mail the film
to Dwaynes via U.S. Mail or if you have a lot, FedEx.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> I have been taking my slide film to CVS Drugstores, they ship to to
Qualex who sends it to Dwaynes who processes it than returned to me via reverse
route. Cost is $5.99 ($6.35 w/ tax). Turn around has been seven
days. Of course the last roll they processed had a very nice scratch in it
otherwise I have had good luck with them and they speak english.</DIV>

size=2> We recieved notification today at
work [CVS]... that Kodak... (a.k.a. Qualex) will be suspending
film processing effective March 31, 2009. Kodak handles all the send
out processing for department and drug stores in the United States and I
believe they are the last firm still processing slide film. What this means
is if you are like me and always have 8-10 rolls of slide film in the
refrigerator, consider this "fair warning" to use it up if you are going to
need slide documentation of something N&W in the future. This might be a
good time to go out and shoot those remaining buildings, bridges and signals
while you can get the film processed. And now it looks like Bob Bowers
will finally have to join the instant gratification (digital) generation.
