<DIV align=left> New York. April 22--Announcement was
made that Kuhn, Loeb & Co. have sold approximately $19,000,000 worth of
stock of the Norfolk & Western Railway company to the Pennsylvania Railroad
Company.</DIV>
<DIV align=left> This, together with the previous holdings of
the Pennsylvania and its subsidaries, gives the Pennsylvania possession of about
37-1/2 per cent of the Norfolk and Western stock and practical control.</DIV>
