interstate [sic] passenger rate on the Norfolk and Western of two and a half
cents a mile, according to a decision of the court's, went into effect last
night at midnight. The rate out of Bluefield is now two and a half cents
to all local West Virginia stations, instead of two cents as heretofore.
For instance the old rate to Kenova was $3.70, and the present rate is
$4.55.</FONT></DIV>

that a great many people who do a lot of traveling over the Norfolk and Western
in the state purchased a large number of tickets before the change went into
effect.</FONT></DIV>
