<DIV align=left> There is a good prospect for a railroad up
Camp Creek, toward Flattop and Bluff Mountains. Options have been secured
on the lands along the creek. C. L. Harvey secured the options for a short
time only. If this road is built it will connect with the Bluestone Land
and Lumber Company's road near Princeton. This road will develop a large
timber and coal area in the Bluff and Flattop mountains.</DIV>

<DIV align=left>[<EM>A 1931 Flattop Quadrangle topo map shows a lumber railroad
extending about three miles down Mash Fork (starting about a mile an one-half
northeast of the community of Buff Mountain) to Camp Creek, up Camp Creek and
its Cub Branch to a series of four switchbacks up to Sam's
Ridge. The line then runs along at the high elevation for about three
miles, passing near the community of Flat Top. From there it
generally follows Glade Creek down stream for about three and one-half
miles before crossing over a divide to follow Beaver Creek down stream
for about seven miles to a meeting with the C&O near Beckley. Could
this be the line mentioned in the article? Unfortunately, a 1926
Bluefield Quadrangle topo map does not show the Bluestone Land and Lumber
Company line, which would have met the Virginian at Gardner Junction just
outside of Princeton.</EM>]</DIV>
