<DIV align=left> Philadelphia, Pa., Feb. 26--It is reported in
financial circles that the Pennsylvania Railroad Company has acquired sufficient
of the stock of the Norfolk and Western Railway to give it absolute control of
the road. The Pennsylvania has made no official announcement to that
effect.</DIV>
