<DIV align=left> </DIV>
<DIV align=left> The local head of departments on the Norfolk
and Western held a meeting yesterday in the superintendent's office for the
purpose of investigating the freight wreck of last Sunday at Glen alum. No
official statement was given out but it is reported unofficially that operator
Epling, who it is claimed miscopied a train order, will not serve in the
capacity of operator any longer. The train crews on both trains and all
operators who had anything to do with the orders of the trains were summoned as
witnesses. Sunday mooring at Glen Al;um, owing to lapped orders, two
freight trains came together and two men were killed. Both men were
firemen who were throwing coal in the fire boxes when the smash came.</DIV>
