<DIV align=left> A report is going the rounds of shop track
talk which claims that as a result of less loading throughout the field and on
account of the new Mallet engines, thirty engineers are to be put back to firing
on the Pocahontas division. No one in authority can verify the story which
seems to have the usual shop track talk backing. It is a known fact that
since the twelve big Pacific type engines have been put in service and the ten
Mallets have got to work many of the engineers have seen that sooner or later
they would have to go back to firing.</DIV>
