LONG COURSE METERS
PACIFIC MASTERS LONG COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2003 Pacific Masters Long Course Championships will be on the 
campus of the University of California Santa Cruz July 11 through 13. 
The postmark deadline is June 25th.

BARBECUE DINNER AT LONG COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS
At the conclusion Saturday afternoon of 2003 Pacific Masters Long 
Course Championships there will be a Barbecue Buffet Dinner.  This 
will be a great time to break bread with your competitors in a 
relaxed, informal setting. You can swap training tips and war stories.

Santa Cruz Masters and Pacific Masters Swimming are sponsoring this 
dinner the barbecue chicken, pork rib and salad dinner. Bring your 
family and friends to meet your competitors. The price is a 
reasonable $8.50 per person.

This is the first time in a long time that a social event has been 
part of the Championships. I hope that all the competitors will be 
able to eat together.

OPEN WATER
LAKE SONOMA OPEN WATER SWIM
Redwood Coast Masters will be hosting it second open water swim on 
the season next Sunday June 28, 2003 at Lake Sonoma. Send your 
entries via mail, or register online through:

TRANS TAHOE RACE
There are still a few spots open for The Olympic Club Trans Tahoe

SANTA CRUZ PIER TO PIER SWIM USMS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
This years Santa Cruz Pier to Pier Swim will be the United States 
Masters Swimming 10K National Championship.

IGLA CHAMPIONSHIPS
San Francisco Tsunami welcomes all swimmers from around the Bay Area 
and around the World to the IGLA Championships that will be at 
Stanford University August 22 through the 24th. Much of the meet will 
be pre-seeded and thus there is a very early meet entry deadline.

There are going to be great competition this year in short course 
meters. Besides the IGLA meet, there will be the Mountain View 
Masters meet at Eagle Pool, the Marlins meet at Joinville pool and 
the Pacific Masters Championships at the  Menlo Atherton being put on 
by Rinconada Masters.

PACIFIC MASTERS MONTHLY MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY
The regular monthly meeting of Pacific Masters will be Wednesday June

RESULTS
The results of the Burlingame Master Watersports Splash and Dash have 
been posted. Over 70 sprinters competed in the four strokes. The meet 
was over in less than an hour and half.

BECOME A BETTER SWIMMER WHILE HAVING FUN!
Lair of the Bear, UC Berkeley's Alumni Camp, is offering two weeks 
for adults to practice and improve your favorite sport while also 
having some fun and relaxation.  Club Lair, Sunday, August 24 through 
Sunday, August 31 and Sports and Recreation Week, Sunday, August 31 
through Sunday September 7, will include for the first time this 
year, Masters Swimming!  There will be a coached program of workouts 
and stroke advice from a certified Masters Coach.

STROKE AND TURN CLINIC
There will be a Stroke and Turn Clinic on June 28th, which is a 
Saturday.  It will start at 2:00 PM and be held at the Woodland Swim

Strawberry Canyon Aquatic Masters is looking for a new head coach. 
This position is with the University of California  pay is in the mid 
$30s and includes full University of California benefits. The job 
position has not been fully approved yet but for more information,
