GAMES</b></font><b> Deadline extended</b></div>
<div>The 2007 Bay Area Senior Games will be held at Stanford
University March 10-11 (Swimming will be held on the 11th of March).
You must be least 50 years old to compete.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>At Stanford there will be the 24th Annual Fitness Weekend where
there will be a Health Fair and Exhibition. Final registration is
March 5. All invited to participate.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>The 2009 National Senior Games will be held at Stanford in August
of 2009. For more information about the Senior Games go to:</div>

<div><font size="+1" color="#0000FF"><b>JON STEINER MEMORIAL MILE
(POSTAL)</b></font></div>
<div>The Jon Steiner Memorial Mile (Postal) is taking place during the
months of January and February. If you are registered with US Masters
Swimming, you are eligible to compete. Just swim 1650 yards, while
swimming have someone track your times and submit your entry.</div>
<div>Jon was the meet director for the Tamalpias event for many years.
He passed away this year - Tam renamed the mile in his honor. Jon was
one of the good guys - you can use your times from the USMS hour
postal.</div>

<div><font size="+1" color="#0000FF"><b>RINCONADA MASTERS SPRING SHORT
COURSE MEET</b></font></div>
<div>The Rinconada Mastesr Spring meet will be held at the Rinconada
Pool in Palo Alto on March 17th. The pre-entry deadline is 2 March.
For those who have no prior competitive Masters experience there are
three special events: the 50 yard Free, and the 50 yard Back.
For those who are feeling studly, there is the 1650 yard fly. (you
must finish the event within 45 minutes).</div>

<div>The 1000 yard freestyle is the first event, there is no deck
entries for 1000 free only - you must pre-enter.</div>

<div>STRAWBERRY CANYON AQUATIC MASTERS MEET INFORMATION</div>
<div>The SCAM invitational meet will be on SUNDAY 25 March 2007 at the
Spieker Aquatic Complex, UC Berkeley. This is one of the most popular
meets on the Pacific Masters Calendar. The 500 will be preseeded. The
early deadline is 12 March.</div>

GROW</b></font></div>
<div>Last year Pacific had a good year with a total increase in
membership of 547. Of the ten largest non-LMSC clubs, Pacific has
seven of the top ten. It is through our coaches who work so hard that
Pacific has the best group of swimmers in the nation.</div>

<div>Congratulations to Morgan Hill Swim Club and Tuolome County
Aquatic Masters who had the best growth in numbers of any established
club (+84 and +56 members). Total Pacific Membership was 10,185 which
is 23.4% of the entire USMS membership (43424)</div>

<div><font size="+1" color="#0000FF"><b>CALL FOR
NOMINATIONS</b></font></div>
<div>Pacific Masters honors it volunteers who have contributed to the
sport of Masters Swimming. There are four awards for volunteers that
are given out at the Pacific Masters Short Course Yards Championships
to be held at Santa Cruz.</div>
