Pacific Masters is:</div>

PACIFIC MASTERS LONG COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS</b></font></div>
<div>The Pacific Masters Long Course Swimming Championships was held
over 11-13 July 2008. at US Santa Cruz Swimming Complex at the East
Field House, Santa Cruz.</div>

<div><b>WORLD RECORDS BROKEN</b></div>
<div>Suzanne Heim-Bowen broke Laura Val's 1500 Free World Records with
an 18:45.21</div>
<div>Laura Val broke the 400IM records swimming a 5:53.40</div>
<div>Richard Todd broke the 100 Breast Stroke records 1:23.40</div>
<div>Laura Val broke the 50 Free record 29.31</div>
<div>Laura Val broke the 800 Free record 10:05.28</div>
<div>Laura Val broke the 50 Fly record 31.77</div>
<div>Laura Val broke the 100 back record 1:16.15</div>
<div>Richard Burns broke the 100 Back stroke records 1:16.15</div>

<div><font size="+1"><b>NATIONAL RECORDS BROKEN</b></font></div>
<div>Richard Burns broke the 200 Backstroke record 2:50.79</div>
<div>Richard Burns broke the 100 Fly record 1:14.91</div>

<div>There were 21 Pacific Masters records broken.</div>

<div>There were over 400 competitors who entered the meet, making it
the second largest long course Masters meet in the United
States.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>In Team Hi Points, USF Masters brought 135 swimmers and took the
large team division. Medium team was won by Walnut Creek Masters and
Menlo Masters won the Small Team division.</div>

<div><font size="+1"><b>REAL TIME RACE RESULTS</b></font></div>
<div>In working with Franz Mortensen, we have developed a place to put
the race results as the meet is going on. You can go to</div>

<div>And the race is sorted by event. For those who would like to
follow the championships at home, you are now able to. The results can
also be accessed by mobile devices, but be sure you have enough

<div><font size="+1"><b>Lake Mendocino 2 Mile Pacific Masters
Championships</b></font> -<b> note email address change</b></div>
<div>The Lake Mendocino 2-mile championship will be held on July 26th,
2008, replacing the Russian River 1 mile swim scheduled for that date.
Registrants will automatically be moved to this date unless I am
otherwise notified.</div>

<div><font size="+1"><b>TRANS TAHOE SWIM</b></font></div>
<div>The 32nd Annual Trans Tahoe Relay crossing takes place July 19th,
2008, and is hosted by The Olympic Club. This event is the only swim
race that crosses two state lines and has become one of the most
popular relay open water swims in the nation.</div>

their son Jonathan Adam Slivka on 21 June. Mother and son are doing
well. Laura is the coach of Fog City and looks forward to coaching

Championships</b></font></div>
<div>The 5 K and 10 K Postal is swum between 15 May and 15
September. This is a great way to swim a national championships at a
local pool. You must swim the event in a 50 meter pool. Further
