<div><font size="+1"><b>PACIFIC MASTERS MISSION
STATEMENT:</b></font></div>
<div>As adopted by the Pacific Masters Committee the Mission of
Pacific Masters is:</div>
<div><b><br></b></div>
<div><b>Pacific Masters Swimming welcomes anyone who would like to
gain and maintain fitness through swimming and encourages programs to
foster this mission.</b></div>

<div><font size="+1"><b>PACIFIC MASTERS SHORT COURSE METERS

<div><b>WORLD RECORDS SET</b></div>
<div>See the end of this email for all the World records that were
broken. Larua Val broke five records, Rich Burns broke four and they
swam together on relays to break another record. Also David Guildea,
Richard Todd, Roque Santos and and Jackie Marr broke world records.
Congratulations to all!!</div>
<div><br></div>
<div><b>TOP SCORING TEAMS</b></div>
<div>The top scoring teams at the Short Course Meter Meet were:</div>
<div> Walnut Creek Masters</div>
<div> Bay Masters</div>
<div> Manatee Aquatic Masters</div>
<div> Rolling Hills Mud Sharks</div>
<div> Tuolumne County Aquatic Masters</div>
<div> Santa Rosa Masters</div>

<div>Thanks to Kara Gray, John King, Debbie Santos for all the work

<div><font size="+1"><b>ROB BUTCHER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, VISITS
PACIFIC</b></font></div>
<div>Rob Butcher, Executive Director of United States Masters
Swimming, visited our LMSC last week. He spoke with many of our
coaches and swimmers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, then he
competed at the Short Course Meters Championships, where he met more
coaches, and swimmers. He said he was very impressed with our coaches
and our swimmers.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who took time out to meet with Rob. We have
the best LMSC and it is because of our coaches and everyone who
participates. It was very important that Rob heard from you about
Masters Swimming; about what you think is good about the program and
where we can improve. By speaking with you he heard more ideas about
how USMS can better server you, our members.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Rob also swam at the meet where he took a first and a couple of
seconds in the very competitive 35-39 age group. Saturday, after the
meet, Rob had dinner with coaches, Pacific Masters Committee members,
officials and members of the Walnut Creek organizing committee, before
leaving for Charlotte.</div>

will start at 1 PM, which will give swimmers from the Bay Area time to
leave early in the morning and make it in time to compete.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div><font size="+1"><b>WHAT IS THE VALUE OF SWIMMING? OF JOINING
