1. A "Fab-Yule-Us" Holiday Concert
The New Jersey Gay Men’s Chorus will present
Fab-Yule-Us!, a holiday concert performed by the
chorus of men with piano, organ, and horn
accompaniment. The concerts will be given on Friday,
December 5, 2003, at 8 PM at Trinity Episcopal
Cathedral, 801 West State Street, Trenton, and on
Saturday, December 6, 2003, at 8 PM, at Bound Brook
Presbyterian Church, 409 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.
 Featured will be Maurice Duruflé's Messe cum jubilo
for chorus of baritones, solo baritone, organ played
by the chorus's accompanist Tim Brown, and horn played
by Norwegian hornist Karl Kramer. Kramer will also
accompany the chorus in James Mulholland's beautiful
setting of the Emily Dickinson poem "Heart We Will
Forget Him." Also on the concert will be Christmas
favorites, and music by Jacob Handl, Freddy Mercury,
Labi Siffre, Michael Isaacson, and Uzee Brown, and the
premiere performance of A Splash of Christmas, written
especially for the chorus by Chicago composer Leo
Schwartz. 
 Tickets are $15 for adults, and $12 for students and
seniors, and are available at the chorus website,
www.njgmc.org, or at the door. For more information
call the chorus at 609-396-7774.   The New Jersey Gay
Men's Chorus is a volunteer chorus drawing from
communities in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
Established in 1991 as the Delaware Valley Men's
Chorus, it was renamed in July 1996.

2. WOMEN’S COFFEE HOUSE – Dec 5
The monthy Women’s Coffee House will be held at the
Pride Center on Saturday December 6th.  Please contact
The Pride Center for additional information.

3. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE – Dec 6
Saturday, December 6, 2003, 3:00pm at the Roy B. Smith
Theater at Union County College, 1033 Springfield
Avenue, Cranford, New Jersey  07016
There is a $5.00 suggested donation, Reservations NOT
needed
Join us as we recreate "The Lux Radio Theater" circa
1947, and see all the
drama, heartbreak (and comedy) as 12 actors and 1
EXTREMELY over-extended
sound technician prepare for an old-time radio
broadcast of the story made
famous in the classic 1946 Frank Capra film.
IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE - The Radio Play is the Theater
Project's way of
saying Thank You and Happy Holidays to the community
for their support
through nine wonderful years.

4. WINTER SOCIAL – Dec 9
Come hang out at The Pride Center 2nd and 4th Tuesdays
from 8 PM to 9:30 PM!  News, gossip, politics,
gardening, TV and whatever else comes up. Delicious
refreshments provided.  Check it out!  Sponsored by
LGM-NB.

5. TOGETHER WE CAN!  - Dec 11
“Together We Can!” is a support group for the lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender and inter-sex (LGBTI)
community.  The group provides a safe, honest, open
and supportive setting for people dealing with
depression, anxiety, grief and loss, sexual
compulsivity, sexual identity, HIV/AIDS – related
concerns, chemical dependency, eating disorders and
other mental health issues.  Every Tuesday from 7:00

6. OUT OF THE BOX UPDATES – Dec 19
THANKS to everyone who showed up for the last OOTB. 
We had about 40 folks listening, sharing... 15 people
on the open-mic!  Feature Khateeb Ibn Yahya firing up
his metaphors on the mic.  Cake and carrots.  It was a
great night.  Pictures will soon be up on
www.pandorascooter.com with any luck from the cyber
goddesses -- Thank you to all!
The FEATURE for December's OOTB will be poet/musician
T-Bird (aka Trina Scordo) from Asbury Park.  She's
going to preform her inspired music, songs, and

pm.  Yes, it's the first day of Hannukah!  Come
celebrate it with Out of the Box!  :-) 
Also, FEAR JUNKIE comes to New Brunswick, NJ!  You are
invited to see the one-woman rant FEAR JUNKIE at
Cabaret Theatre (Douglass Campus - corner of Nichol
and Suydam) on Thursday December 18th at 8:00 pm.  The
show is just about 40 minutes long and we'll have a
talkback afterwards

7. WOMEN’S PEER SUPPORT GROUP - Dec 11 
A positive, affirming and empowering environment in
which women share their stories, relate to each other
and gain insight into a variety of issues to be
explored. Held on 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 7:30 PM
to 9:00 PM.

8. Women’s Singles Event – Dec 13
The Central Jersey Lesbian Alliance presents the
Women's Wine and Cheese Singles Event at the Den in
Somerset, NJ.

9. Doubles Tournament – Jan 4
The Central NJ GLBT Tennis Club is sponsoring a
Doubles Tournament on
Sunday, January 4, 2004 at the Brunswick Hills Racquet
Club in East
Brunswick, NJ from 9AM-3PM.  For teams with combined
NTRP level of
6.5-7.5 (individual NTRP of 3.0-4.0).  Cost is only
$30 and includes
court time and matches, balls, complimentary water and
snacks, and use
of the Club facilities for the duration of the
Tournament.  Deadline
for entering is December 20.  Limited to 12 teams, so
early
registration is strongly encouraged.  For more info or

10. Valentine’s Day Gala – Feb 14
On Saturday, February 14th, 2004, The Pride Center of
New Jersey will host its second annual Valentine's Day
Gala at the Holiday Inn in Monroe, New Jersey.  An
evening of food, fun, and dance for the LGBTIQ
community, the Gala will feature a DJ light show from
Cosmic Entertainment, a dinner buffet, cash bar, and
door prizes. 
The event runs 7pm to 1 a.m.  Tickets are $45 per
person and must be purchased in advance by sending
checks payable to PCNJ at PO Box 5130, New Brunswick,
NJ  08903, attn: Valentine's Day Gala.  For further
information about the Gala, please contact Laura
Fragapane, the event co-chair, at 732-238-7535.

The Holiday Inn of Monroe is located at 390 Forsgate
Drive, easily accessible from the New Jersey Turnpike,
exit 8A.   The hotel is pleased to offer a special
discount package for overnight accomodations to party
guests.  Rooms will be $89 plus tax, and arrangements
must be made two weeks in advance of the event. To
make room reservations, call the hotel reservation
desk directly at 609-655-4775 and reference
Valentine's Day Dinner Dance. 
All proceeds will benefit The Pride Center of New
Jersey, the non-profit center serving New Jersey's
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and intersexed
community since 1994.  The Center is located at 1048
Livingston Avenue in North Brunswick and hosts 30
social and support groups, an information line, a
library and resource center, and bilingual HIV testing
and counseling.  Hours are 7pm to 10pm daily, with
additional daytime hours.  For more information about

11. Wanted: Shift Volunteers!
Interested in giving some time back to your community?
The Pride Center needs additional staff volunteers at
our North Brunswick location. Answer phones, greet
visitors, meet new people! A variety of shifts are
available with an emphasis on 7 PM to 10 PM shifts.
