1. Pride Center Membership Special
The Pride Center is having a Membership Special!  Join
or re-new now through August 15th and your name will
be entered into a drawing for tickets to an upcoming
George Street Playhouse Lambda Night or to Six Flags
Great Adventure!  General Membership is $35, Family is
$50, Silver is $100, Gold is $250, Platinum is $500.
Checks can be made payable to "PCNJ", PO Box 5130, New
Brunswick, NJ 08903.

2. Volunteers Are Needed!
The Pride Center currently has volunteer openings for
Center Shift Volunteers, Men's Coffee House
Coordinator/Volunteers, Women's Coffee House
Volunteers, and Webmaster.  

More on the Webmaster position... If you have website
design/maintenance experience and are interested in
learning more about the position, well, we'd like to
talk to you, too!  Please send your inquiries to
wendall at comcast.net and njrj at aol.com, tell us about
your experience, and include samples of your work.    


3. Tennis
"10-S N-E-1?  Central NJ Lambda Tennis Club is looking
for interested members.  This club provides a network
if contacts with which its members (men and women) can
play tennis matches (singles or doubles) or simply
meet to practice, as well as provides information
about other tennis related events and activities.  The
group also meets for mixed doubles on several weekends
each month (usually at Buccleuch Park in New Brunswick
or Middlesex County College courts in Edison).  For

and/or send him your name, email, home phone &
location, work phone & location, and NTRP (or best
guess) to get on the club directory."

4. Smoke OUT
The Pride Center of NJ in collaboration with the
Tobacco Dependence Program of the School of Medicine
and Dentistry of New Jersey is offering assistance for
LGBT individuals who are interested in quitting
smoking. To reserve a space in the group or if you
have questions, contact Phil McCabe CSW, CAS at
732-235-8229.

5. Women's Group
The Center's Women's Group will be meeting on the
second and forth Wednesdays of each month for the next
few months.  This meeting will be a planning social
for the Group's activities for the upcoming months. 
Please come with ideas, a food or refreshment item to
share and invite friends.  Lez talk and Women's coming
out have been merged into this new and exciting
Women's group.  Please call Kathy at 732 342 9359 in
you have any questions about this meeting or would
like to know what refreshment items others are already
bringing.  

6. CGLA
Central Jersey Lesbian Association is having their
second BUSINESS NETWORKING Party, this time, it is a
BBQ and POOL PARTY. Date: Saturday, July 12, 2003.
Time: 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
Place: Jen Santangelo's house - 3 Benedek Road,
Princeton, NJ. 
If it rains, we will cancel 
Hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips and soft
drinks provided. Please bring a side dish, business
cards, bathing suit and towel. 
KIDS ARE WELCOME.  If you are coming, please R.S.V.P.
to Jen's email by 
July 8, 2003: jsmt8 at yahoo.com. If anyone has problems
getting directions off of the 
Internet, just email Jen and indicate where you will
be coming from. If anyone gets lost while trying to
get there, just call Jen at: (609) 252-0449.

invite anyone you think might be interested in this
event!

7. The NAMES Project 4rd Annual Pride Picnic  -July
13,
Johnson Park, Grove #4, River Road, Piscataway, NJ
Enjoy the day in a beautiful Riverside Park with two
Ponds with waterfowl and fish, Playground, Bird
Sanctuary and a small Zoo, Tennis Courts, Bike Path
and Exercise Trail also for the publics use. Have fun
playing Badminton, Volleyball, Horseshoes or Lawn
Darts, or even bring your favorite lawn game. Bring
your lawn chair. Lounge or relax with a book under
lush trees.  Children are most welcome. Pets on a
leash also welcome, water available for pets, doggie
treats will be provided for all well-behaved pets.
Raffles, 50/50's, Door Prizes, Kid's Prizes, Pet
Prizes, Pet Show, Fun Picnic Games $15 Adults - $7
Kids advance ticket sale- if purchase by July 8th, $18
Adult - $9 Kids if purchased from July 9th through
13th. VEGETARIAN BY REQUEST ONLY with

8. Under The Rainbow
UTR is a social and discussion group for GLBTers ages
18 to 25. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdayss
at the Pride Center at 7 PM.  It's a safe place to
make new friends and socialize with your peers. For
more information, call us at 732-846-2232.

9. Things to do
Don't forget that there are groups meeting at the
Pride Center all summer!  Come check out groups like
Men's Coming Out every Wednesday, or AALU which is
having a discussion on wine on July 24th, LGM-NB which
meets 2nd and 4th Tuesdays for lively discussion and
good snacks, or the Game Group - biweekly game events
on 3rd Tuesdays and last Saturdays.  Call the Pride
Center for times and information on all our
activities!
