The Pride Center of New Jersey
News & Updates - December 16, 2004

Note: The Pride Center could use a donation of a small
fire proof safe and a wireless router.  We also are
still looking for donations of chairs and bookcases
and a working DVD/VCR.

And...  Don't forget to include the Pride Center of NJ
among your end-of-year charitable donations. The Pride
Center is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.

1. MENS PEER SUPPORT GROUP - Dec 16
First and Third Thursday  - Social, 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Second and Fourth Thursday – Peer Support,7:30pm –
9:00pm On the first and third Thursday of each month,
the Men’s Peer Support Group will be an informal
social gathering with speakers, films, and activities.
 On the second and fourth Thursdays, a facillitator
will lead the Men’s Peer Support Group in a discussion
of a variety of subjects selected by the group

2. DIGNITY/NB CHRISTMAS PARTY - Dec 17
Always one of the highlights of Dignity/New
Brunswick's calendar, when good food, good cheer and
good will will be shared by all. (They are still

3. OOTB! - Dec 17
OUT OF THE BOX - the open-mic night for all types of
performers and listeners --- happens THIS FRIDAY night
Friday, December 17th at 8:00 PM at The Pride Center
of NJ.  Featured performer this month is Kelli Dunham!
Your hosts are Pandora Scooter and Steven Jones!

8. SALGA! - Dec 18
The South Asian Lesbian and Gay Association (SALGA-
NJ) warmly invites you to our support group meeting.
The next meeting will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
on Saturday December 18th at The Pride Center of New
Jersey, 1048 Livingston Avenue North Brunswick, NJ
08902 
The objective of the meeting is to provide a safe
space for people where they can freely discuss and
share aspects of their experiences as gay, lesbian,
bisexual, transgender and questioning individuals.
This meeting space is available for people who trace
their descent from countries such as Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri
Lanka and Tibet as well as people of South Asian
descent from other regions, including but not limited
to the West Indies, Africa, Southeast Asia, Canada and

5. NJ Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf - Dec 19
The NJ Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf hosts monthly
Coffee Houses in the PCNJ Loft. All events are open to
those who can hear; American Sign Language is used.
The December 19th event will be an offsite Holiday
Dinner at Giovanna's Restaurant in Plainfield. For

6. WOMEN'S COFFEE HOUSE - Feb 5
February 5, 2005    Stephanie Monticello "some people
get into music with the goal or expectation of
becoming famous, i just do it, to heal myself and
everyone else that may feel me."  

7. PCNJ ANNUAL VALENTINE'S DAY GALA - Feb 12
