3. Fiddleheads “Pride Nights”
Fiddleheads Restaurant, a gay-owned, upscale
contemporary bistro in Jamesburg, New Jersey, is
extending its “Pride Night” promotion on Wednesday
nights through February and March 2005, in conjunction
with Out in Jersey magazine. Out in Jersey published a
rave review of Fiddleheads in its December/January
2005 issue.
Brian P. Blatz and Dan Davis, owners of Fiddleheads,
invite members of the gay and lesbian community to
bring in their copy of Out in Jersey or Pride
Center News on Wednesday nights during February and
March and enjoy a 20% discount on the food and
beverage portion of their dinner checks. Advance
reservations
are required (when calling to reserve, customers
should make the reservation with either Dan or Brian)
and the magazine or newsletter must be presented to
receive the discount. The check must be paid in cash.
The promotion will not be honored at any other time.
Fiddleheads, first opened in 1992 and purchased by
Blatz and Davis in June 2004, serves an eclectic,
elegant mix of superbly prepared and reasonably priced

dishes that appeal to a discriminating palate.
Customers may bring their own beer and wine. Currently
rated in Zagat’s, the restaurant offers a “downtown”
experience, with candlelight ambiance and jazz, swing,
soft rock, and contemporary acoustic-guitar music,
along with a gallery-quality art exhibit that is
changed quarterly. The next art show, which is under
the auspices of Jamesburg’s high-end studio and
framing establishment, Family Framers, goes up
February
8, and will feature works by Teddy Ehmann, Vincent
Valle, Maurice Mahler, Helen Post, Jennifer Wiessner,
and Judy Stein.
Fiddleheads is open for lunch Wednesday through Friday
and dinner from Wednesday through Sunday, and also
features a Sunday brunch. Reservations for all serving
times are recommended. The restaurant menu and
directions are available on the Web at
www.jamesburg.net/fiddleheads.
