1. MEN'S SOCIAL - Feb 25
Monthly Men's Social: Monthly social for men with
light refreshements, entertainment. Opportunity for
guys to meet, socialize and network in a setting that
is not a bar or religious in nature. Meets 4th
Saturday, 7pm.

2. PRINCETON EVENTS

Injustice, Intolerance, and Intersectional Identity
McCormick 101
Drawing upon political philosophy, black feminist
thought, and queer theory, this panel examines ways
our society enables and normalizes violence against
individuals who stand at the intersection of marginal
identities. To do so, we turn to the unsolved murder
of 19-year-old Rashawn Brazell. Panelists include:
Kwame Anthony Appiah, Laurance S. Rockefeller
Professor of Philosophy; Clarence Patton, National
Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs; and Rashad
Robinson, GLAAD.
Sponsored by the Black Graduate Caucus, the Black
Student Union, the Fields Center, the Program in
African-American Studies, The LGBT Center, and the
Queer Graduate Caucus.

Cheryl Clarke Poetry Reading and Open Mic
Café Vivian in Frist
Poet and social justice activist, Cheryl Clarke, will
join us for a special night, followed by an open mic
for students. Author of Narratives: Poems in the
Tradition of Black Women, Living As a Lesbian, Humid
Pitch, and Experimental Love, her writings have
appeared in numerous publications, including—Home
Girls: A Black Feminist Anthology, This Bridge Called
My Back, and most recently Black Like Us. She directs
the Office of Social Justice Education and LGBT
Communities at Rutgers. Sign up for the open mic at 7

5. AIDS WALK - May 21
Riki E. Jacobs, Executive Director of Hyacinth AIDS
Foundation, has announced that she and Ana Oliveira,
Executive Director of Gay Men’s Health Crisis, have
signed an agreement that provides for Hyacinth AIDS
Foundation to become a New Jersey partner of AIDS Walk
New York (AWNY), scheduled to take place on May 21,
2006 in Central Park.
Under the terms of the agreement, Hyacinth will
recruit fundraising walkers and teams in New Jersey
and retain funds collected from that effort.
Exceptions include NJ walkers and teams, or other NJ
AIDS organizations, who participated in AWNY in 2003,
2004 and 2005.
To join Hyacinth’s team or to form your own team to
help people living with HIV/AIDS in New Jersey, please
