Gay Movie Night

Saturday, January 10

7:00 PM – 9:30 PM

This Month's Feature:  The Times of Harvey Milk

It's no accident that this month's selection is this 1984 Academy Award-winning documentary:  It's a perfect complement to the current feature film "Milk." Narrated by the other gay Harvey (Fierstein), the film features extensive footage of Harvey Milk, Dan White, George Moscone, and Diane Feinstein, plus interviews from contemporary gay activists.

Donation of $6.00 includes candy, soda, and popcorn just like mom used to microwave! Movie shown on our DVD projector. 

2. Ice… Ice… Baby!!!!

It does not matter if you have never been on ice skates, have not
skated in years or you actually do it professionally… it's cold out so
we may as well make the most of it!

Event: Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 8pm.

If interested, please RSVP by email (cop at pridecenter. org) by WEDNESDAY,
JANUARY 14TH.

Further details provided after RSVP deadline only to those who have
RSVP'd.

Carpooling available – meet at Pride Center that evening at 7pm.

Skating from 8 to 10p / General Admission: $9 / Skate Rental $4

ComeOUT&Play is a social networking group for gay, lesbian, bisexual
and transgendered 20- to 30-somethings in New Jersey. While based at
the Pride Center of New Jersey in Highland Park, events are scheduled
throughout the entire Garden State.

Every Third Wednesday of the month, Pizzeria Uno will make a donation for every Pride Center patron.  Just bring in a coupon any time during the day.

4. HIV TESTING AT PCNJ
The Pride Center of New Jersey, in conjunction with Robert Wood
Johnson, is pleased to announce that we will be offering HIV testing
services. Testing will be offered the second
Tuesday of every month between 7 and 9 PM at our location in Highland
Park. Testing is free and confidential, and results will be received
within 15-20 minutes. A free counseling session is also available for
anyone who tests positive. Both appointments and walk-ins are welcome.

5. VALENTINE'S DANCE - Feb 14
Coming soon!  Valentine's Dance on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14!
at the DoubleTree Hotel, Rt. 1, Princeton on 2/14.
$65 for members
$75 for non-members.

6. COORDINATOR NEEDED

NEW Women's Coffeehouse Coordinator(s) Needed for 2009/2010!!

Passing of the torch!  

The Women's Coffee House needs more volunteers for the new committee which will be starting up next October.  Responsibilities would be to book the entertainment (lists of previous performers available) make coffee, buy milk and cookies for serving with the coffee, collect donations at the door, clean up at the end of the night.
