1. Art's Adventures!

Dear LGBT Community and Friend,
The Pride Center of New Jersey announces the formation of a new program, ARTS ADVENTURES.  Our goal is to provide opportunities for members to participate with others in attending a variety of cultural events (i.e. theater, museums, galleries, concerts, opera and dance). Upcoming events will be periodically sent by e-mail. If you are interested in being on the ARTS ADVENTURES e-mail list, send your name and e-mail address to artsadventures36 at aol.com.
Culturally yours,
The ARTS ADVENTURES Team at PCNJ

P.S. SAVE THE DATE: Sunday, November 15, Arts Adventures at the Montclair Art Museum for the current Cezanne Exhibit...  more info to follow!

2.  March on Washington

Next weekend, Oct. 10-11, GLBT people from across the
country will gather in Washington to let our elected leaders know that now is
the time for full equal rights for GLBT people. We will gather. We will march.
And we will leave energized and empowered to do the work that needs to be done
in every community across the nation.
   Like all other Americans, LGBT
people are guaranteed equal protection by the 14th Amendment to the United
States Constitution. Free and equal people do not compromise, and that's why
we're marching on Washington on Oct. 11 with one simple demand: Equal protection
for LGBT people in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states.
Now.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, there will be workshops,
lobbyist training, and similar events.  On Sunday, Oct. 11, the
march will kick off at noon (from 15th and I streets) and end on the west lawn
of the Capitol building, where a rally will feature three hours of inspirational
speeches and music from roughly 2-5 p.m.
For more info including a full
schedule of events, go to www.nationalequalitymarch.com
