[pssh-announce] pssh 2004-05-02-TEST released

pssh version 2004-05-02-TEST has been released.

This is a TEST version of pssh. A release version is 
expected in about a week.


New features:
* Improved terminal emulation from PuTTY 0.54b. In particular, 
  background color erase is enabled.
* Support for ISO-8859-1 (Latin 1) character set
* Support for VT100 Special Graphics Set including line-drawing characters

Bugs fixed:
* Large pastes now work.
* Public key import now works when the memo doesn't begin with a comment
* Public key import now works when some memos are hidden.
* Control key on external keyboards now works.


Specific areas that needs testing:

* Terminal emulation. The terminal emulator has been substantially 
  revised, and there is a good chance that new bugs have crept in. 
  If you see something that appears to be drawn incorrectly, 
  first try different terminal type string settings in the 
  Connecting Settings dialog. Report the problem if changing the 
  terminal type string doesn't help.

* Control key on external keyboards. If you have an external 
  keyboard, please let me know whether the control key works or not.

* Typing responsiveness and speed. This has been a problem 
  for pssh in the past, and I'm still working on improvements. 
  This version has slower thoroughput but more frequent display 
  updates. Please let me know if you think this is better or 
  worse than the previous version.

* New font glyphs. Some accented characters are practically 
  illegible in the small font. If you have any suggestions for 
  improved glyphs, please let me know.
