Let me know whether the following work or not on your device: * zlib compression works again. Does this make connections run faster, especially over cell phone links? (Note that zlib is off by default, and requires about 400 KB of memory.) * New option to hide the on-screen keyboard. * New option to hide the Palm OS status bar (if any). * New option to remap ` to ESC for keyboards with no ESC key. Thanks to Lauri Aarnio for the original implementation of the hidden keyboard and status bar. Also, for those of you hacking at home, the build instructions in README.code have finally been updated. It should now be easier to recompile pssh from scratch. -- Greg Parker gparker-pssh@sealiesoftare.com From gparker-pssh at sealiesoftware.com Thu May 19 02:06:02 2005 From: gparker-pssh at sealiesoftware.com (Greg Parker) Date: Thu May 19 02:06:03 2005 Subject: [pssh-announce] pssh 2005-05-18-TEST released Message-ID: <17036.11466.500859.774350@kaazh.pair.com> pssh version 2005-05-18-TEST has been released. http://www.sealiesoftware.com/pssh/dist/ pssh's screen resizing support has been rewritten. If you have a device that supports a large screen or a wide screen, please try different rotations and screen sizes on different forms. Look for drawing glitches and controls positioned at the wrong place on screen. The default text focus should work on all devices now. In particular, password fields should get the text cursor cursor automatically. If you still need to tap in the password field before typing your password, please let me know what handheld you use. -- Greg Parker gparker-pssh@sealiesoftware.com pssh: SSH 2 for Palm OS 5 http://wwww.sealiesoftware.com/pssh/ From gparker-pssh at sealiesoftware.com Fri Jun 3 13:01:49 2005 From: gparker-pssh at sealiesoftware.com (Greg Parker) Date: Fri Jun 3 13:01:51 2005 Subject: [pssh-announce] pssh 2005-06-03 released Message-ID: <20050603170149.20819.qmail@kaazh.pair.com> pssh version 2005-06-03 has been released. http://www.sealiesoftware.com/pssh/ New features: * Added support for zlib compression. * Added options to hide the on-screen keyboard and Palm OS status bar. * Added option to remap ` to ESC. Bugs fixed: * Fixed incorrect display of table selection in some forms. * Fixed default selection in some forms. * Fixed crashes after using the pop-up clock. Thanks to everyone who helped with the test releases. That last fix could use some additional testing. On the Tungsten C, pressing the center button while the device is asleep turns on the device and shows a clock. This pop-up clock is buggy and caused pssh to draw incorrectly or crash if it was running. Devices like the Tungsten T series have similar pop-up clocks. If you have such a clock, please try the following: 1. Run pssh and start a connection. 2. Set pssh's font size to "small". 3. Display the clock and close it. If the bug is still there, pssh will crash or draw the terminal incorrectly at this point. -- Greg Parker gparker-pssh@sealiesoftware.com pssh: SSH 2 for Palm OS 5 http://www.sealiesoftware.com/pssh/ From gparker-pssh at sealiesoftware.com Thu Jun 23 21:24:39 2005 From: gparker-pssh at sealiesoftware.com (Greg Parker) Date: Thu Jun 23 21:24:48 2005 Subject: [pssh-announce] pssh 2005-06-23 released Message-ID: <17083.24791.312209.869930@kaazh.pair.com> pssh version 2005-06-23 has been released. http://www.sealiesoftware.com/pssh/ This version fixes a crash during connection when the server sends a login banner.
