I have tried creating multiple keys but my Treo 650 with Palm OS always spits back "Incorrect passphrase or incorrectly formatted memo" Can anyone send me an example of an ssh2 private key that actually works, as I know if I could get this to work it would be amazing and an extremely helpful tool. Thanks in advance I don't know if you've seen my previous messages on this subject, so I'm providing links to them in case you haven't: http://six.pairlist.net/pipermail/pssh-users/2006-January/000089.html http://six.pairlist.net/pipermail/pssh-users/2006-January/000090.html There is actually a bug in pssh, which means that when you select a memo, pssh might be reading a completely different memo (hence the "Incorrect passphrase" error). My second message explains how to work around this problem by making your key memo the very first memo in the list (there are two ways of achieving that). Assuming your key memo looks something like this: some-key-name -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY----- ...lots of lines of text... -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY----- then it will work with pssh, but only if you can ensure that pssh is reading the memo you actually select - which is most easily achieved by making it the first memo. I submitted a patch for this problem and copied Greg Parker, but I never heard back from him. If you're unable to do so yourself, I could compile the source code plus my patch and send you the resulting PRC.
