I invited a few other kindred spirits who likewise have been discouraged in ministry to join in as well. Perhaps we will find a place of mutual encouragement. Kris is the friend I told you about who ministers in NM I believe. Kris, Tom is a brother I wanted to introduce to you. He is part of the far flung servants of Christ, who like you and I, is tired of the programs that fill the church but take the place of true worship. BTW, I mailed out your copy of my book yesterday, Kris. Many have been discouraged in ministry because they have seen little enthusiasm for Christ's holiness in what passes for 'the church' these days. There is no requirement that you be dissatisfied with your place of worship :-), I just wanted you to know that we might become more pastoral and active. Feel free to introduce yourselves to the new comers if you like or just hang out and see where we go from here. By way of announcement, I put up a few new articles on Scholars Corner. One of interest is a challenge to the whole idea of separation of religion from the public square. Why The ACLU Has it All Wrong http://www.scholarscorner.com/didache/aclu.htm Another is the impact of abortion and 45 million children aborted on Social Security. http://www.scholarscorner.com/ethics/socialsecurity.htm People don't think about this when we are destined to 'reap what we have sown'. Message-ID: When Jesus rose from the dead, Rome still occupied Jerusalem False leaders still ruled from the seat of Moses. Wars continued, rapes and brutality still abounded The faithful were abused and persecuted And the just were driven from place to place by slander and hatred. Those who cried out for God to answer were left holding out their hands, empty. The world was not set suddenly aright. Nothing on this earth had changed: Lies were told in the name of Truth Religious leaders still put people into bondage Instead of setting them free with mercy and love. Death continued, Yet He Rose. Over all the disappointments and grief Over all the oppression Over all the ravages and damage of injustice and abuse Over all the inequality, mistreatments and unfairness Jesus Rose over all from the grave. A fresh fragrance of hope had been spread upon the earth. It was not a remedy for every ill to be healed on earth in a moment. Yet it was a promise of a victory that would be achieved. A victory, in time, that would eventually put every injustice to death And right every wrong. It is a hope greater than the grave. An enduring hope, that whatever may come, Christ is greater. And the injustices of this present age do not have the last say. The Lord be with you! For Christ is Risen. Christ is Risen indeed! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jefferis Kent Peterson http://www.scholarscorner.com jefferis@scholarscorner.com New Book Released: Feeling Guilty?
