From jefferis at petersonsales.net Mon Jan 16 11:39:57 2006 From: jefferis at petersonsales.net (Jefferis Peterson) Date: Mon Jan 16 11:40:28 2006 Subject: [Roundtable] This coming year Message-ID: I send on to you a prophetic word, which as always is to be received with discernment and to be judged. My Hope is: May it be so, Oh Lord! Maranatha! Jeff January 11, 2006 "DUTCH SHEETS: The Shift for 2006--Ministries will Restructure, as will Churches, Businesses, Individuals, and Families" Dutch Sheets Ministries will restructure, churches will restructure, businesses will restructure, individuals will restructure, and families will restructure. This will be a year of the greatest change the Church has experienced in our generation. While preparing to minister in Dallas on January 5, I heard the Holy Spirit very clearly say, "Tell them . . . " I quickly grabbed a pen and wrote the following as it was given to me: 1. "The greatest shift into the Apostolic Age comes this year. For this year, they will begin to see the abundance of fruit come forth." "Everything up to this point in time has been primarily the restoration of the apostolic and the prophetic--a preparation for what I am about to do.? The fruit of God establishing the fullness of His ministry giftings and His government in the earth is going to allow Him to release unprecedented power, authority, favor, revelation, judgments, and righteousness. 2. "Opposition to the apostolic and prophetic will also be the greatest this year." He is going to expose wineskins (new or old) and religious spirits, taking off the masks of those who oppose His move. Those who refuse to move incurrent truth will begin to openly criticize leaders in the Body of Christ that are moving in the flow of the apostolic and the prophetic. Some have been doing so in a very subtle way, but this year, it will become obvious. When they do, God is going to begin to judge them. 3. "I must bring further changing of paradigms, not just to those who have-not been moving in the flow of My Spirit, but even to those who are in the flow of My Spirit." I heard Him say, "Restructure, Restructure, Restructure." Ministries will restructure, churches will restructure, businesses will restructure, individuals will restructure (the way they do things, their time, the way they think, and the way they operate), and families will restructure. Teaching on the kingdom of God will bring about great changes of paradigms, taking us back to the original mandate of Genesis. You will hear it taught over and over again this year. Kingdom theology is going to be at the forefront. 4. "I am waiting for those who will fulfill My mission statement." (Luke4:18-19; Isaiah 61) Preach the gospel to the poor Proclaim release to the captives Recovery of sight to the blind Set free the downtrodden Proclaim the favorable year of the Lord I heard Him say, "If those in My Church will begin to make this their mission statement, I will give them the fulfillment of every one of them.? He went on to say, "There is a radical anointing of deliverance that is about to come to the Church. It will actually be violent at times, and people will be radically delivered in a moment." The favorable year of the Lord refers to Jubilee. Captives go free, and inheritances are restored. 5. "This is a year of favor--and disfavor." What you have prayed for, plowed for, sown into, longed for, cried out for, what you have seen but not been able to taste, what you have fasted for, and wept over--this is the year of favor. His favor will be seen on your family, business, finances, and body. This is a year that He will no longer allow people to ride the fence. He will draw a line in the sand and make them decide who they are and what they stand for. The political games in the Church will be judged. For those who refuse to flow with current revelation and resist it, you will see them come into disfavor. Some ministries and churches will lose their favor this year. Others will be raised up and given more influence. It is a year of dismantling that which is built that is not bringing Him glory and a year of great building for others. The landscape of the Church will change this year. 6. "I am looking this year for those who will be more heavenly minded than earthly minded." He is looking for those who will set affections on things above, on His kingdom, and what He wants. For those who will do this, He will give them insights from heaven. This will allow them to bring heaven to earth, instead of simply praying, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." He will give them authority and understanding on how to bring heaven to earth. Also, for those who do this, He will cause them to see things from heavenly perspective. Problems, challenges, vision, difficulties in their families, financial needs--all of these will begin to be seen from His perspective. 7. "I am looking for those who will believe in My power. Miracles are there for the taking." Chuck Pierce prophesied that we will see a move of God this year in which signs and wonders will break out on university campuses. Yale and the University of Texas were mentioned specifically, but the word was not limited to them. The power of God is about to invade the universities of America. 8. "Tell My leaders to pray more and work less." The sense I had was that if they will pray more, they can work less. 9. "This is the most important year yet for right alignment." This year, if we are not in proper alignment with leaders, properly connected to those we need to be walking with, and properly covered by those in positions of authority, it will begin to cost us fruitfulness and health, resulting in destruction in other ways, loss of revelation, and destiny. The setbacks will begin for those who are not properly aligned. 10. "This is the most important year yet for the right timing." Opportunities will come and go quickly. The timing of endeavors will be critical. Being at the right place at the right time will be essential. 11. "The great transfer of wealth begins this year." 12. "The river of God is coming but not as they have known it before." It will not be just refreshing and renewal. It will be deeper and will bring about great power and great harvest. 13. "This is a year of unique assignments." 14. "This is a year in which I will release an abundance of creativity." Business Technology Inventions Songs, ideas, and strategies I heard Him say, "The secrets of heaven are coming to earth." Some of it will be so revelatory that even creative ideas on how to transform whole regions of the world will be released. 15. "I am going to wreak havoc in some of the U.S. government." Corruption will be exposed. The wrong motives will be exposed. Judgment is coming to this nation with great intensity and God is going to show who is on His side. 16. "This is the year that the lid comes off of the youth movement." The Lord made that statement as I saw a picture of a giant pressure cooker, shaking and ready to explode. Suddenly, the lid blew off, and the contents flew everywhere. The shift this year will be monumental. Shift with Him, and see your greatest year ever. "Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not beware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert." -Isaiah 43:18-19 Let's shift with Him! By Dutch Sheets ------ End of Forwarded Message ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jefferis Peterson, Pres. All topics open for discussion. Nothing is being discussed currently. Which brings up an interesting point. In language we often treat 'nothing' as if it had a separate existence, i.e., as if the absence of a thing was a thing in itself like a space or area that contained nothing. However no-thing is actually the absence of something. It has no independent existence and cannot exist on its own. Nothing requires the existence of things to form its own concept or identity. Nothing requires an opposite before the idea of nothings can exist. It is the same way with atheism. Atheism requires the existence of God, or at least the idea of God's existence, in order for atheism to have any substance. Atheism must be posited in opposition to the possibility of God's existence before it can assert its claim to truth that there is no god or gods. However, the belief in God does not require the opposite. There is no necessity for the possibility of God's non-existence for God to BE, or for our belief in him. Atheism requires the fact that people believe before it can form its own identity, because it requires an opposite. Theism does not require its alternate. Now, as with atheism and with nothing, we have also made a positive out of a nothing when it comes to the word 'doubt.' We act as if doubt were something we do, as if doubt were a substance or a substantial act or a state of being. Doubt however, in the truest sense is not a positive act. "I doubt" is not a thing, it is the absence of a thing - faith or belief. In fact, the word doubt, from Greek and Hebrew, is not a thing at all. The word we translate as doubt is actually the word No Truth. In Greek it is a-pistsis [no faith, no belief]; in Hebrew, it is lo-Amen, or No Truth. So when Jesus asks, "Why did you doubt?" He isn't saying, why did you do some-Thing, he was asking, Why did you no-Truth. Doubt is the absence of TRUTH, not a substance in its own right. To doubt is to lack truth. Such is God's economy: "One man gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers lack." - Proverbs 11:24 From jefferis at petersonsales.net Fri Mar 31 15:28:36 2006 From: jefferis at petersonsales.net (Jefferis Peterson) Date: Fri Mar 31 15:28:41 2006 Subject: [Roundtable] Sickness and the will of God Message-ID: I'm going to post a couple of thoughts today. The first one is just sort of an observation about how no one really accepts and believes that illness is the will of God for their lives. If they think they do in their minds, they don't act on it and believe it in their hearts. Background: if scripture is our touchstone, and we look at Jesus as the image of the Father, [as he says of himself: "he who has seen me has seen the Father also... I and the Father are One," ] then we see Jesus as the perfect expression of the Father's will for Creation. It says over and over in the Gospels that Jesus 'healed all who came to him.' He never turned anyone away and said, 'it is my will for you to be sick to teach you something...' But I've run into some strong Calvinists that believe that God ordains everything, including sickness, as his perfect will. Now there is a difference between allowing sickness and willing it. God allows sin, but he does not will it. However, I've never run into a single Calvinist, no matter how staunch, who doesn't go to the doctor when seriously ill. Now, if they really believed that God ordained and willed their sickness, then it seems to me that they would be defying God and in rebellion against God's will for going to the doctor to try and get well! If God wants you sick, why are you going to man to escape God's perfect will? They are saying in effect, "God willed me to be sick, but I'm going to the doctor anyway..." Perhaps God will change his mind??? I think this is ironic, because what it shows is that no matter what we think we believe in our heads, we cannot help but act upon something far more instinctive. Just like a dog will lick its wounds to heal it, we cannot help but go to the physician if he can help us when we are ill. In short, we actually believe [or hope at least!] God wants us well, and that is the reason we seek medical care... No matter which doctrine about God we hold as true, we cannot help but behave as we really believe or desire in our hearts. And we want to be well. Jeff ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jefferis Peterson, Pres. Like Jacob who wrested with the angel, I've wrestled with the written word in order to be able to apply it, but there comes a time when knowledge reaches its effective end and can do no more. It only points beyond itself to what it cannot attain by its own ability. I received prayer at a healing conference last weekend, and we discovered a habit of character in my family line of an idolatry of the mind and the intellect, and I had to renounce my tendency to rely upon my own mind as a means of enabling me to accomplish God's will and ways. It's not that I wanted to rely upon my own mind, but I could not help myself, because I could not be other than who I was raised to be - at least not without prayer. I had to confess my own sin and the iniquity of my ancestors, from whom this tendency came to me quite naturally. The mind may allow you to see who you are to be and ought to be, but it cannot make you do what you cannot do. Anyway, as I have started to rest from my restless striving, I have come to see that what I truly want is to rely upon His anointing. It is the 'anointing which breaks the yoke.' And Jesus himself said, while in his mortal flesh, "I can do NOTHING unless I see the Father doing it." Jesus, who read Isaiah, said that the Spirit of the Lord has anointed me to... [Luke 4]. He recognized his power came from the enabling power of the Holy Spirit, not from his human flesh. He could do nothing unless led and directed and enabled by the Holy Spirit. That is why we read of no miracles during the 30 years before his baptism, because the Holy Spirit had not yet descended upon him... He was as powerless as we are in our natural flesh. In the same way, I need the anointing to do in me, for me and through me what I cannot do by the power of my human, reasoning mind, my flesh, and by my will alone. I need much more than my flesh can provide to accomplish all I desire to do in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost! A scripture was quoted to me while receiving prayer, and it was Proverbs 3, and I'd like to take it apart with the Hebrew. It helped me: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones." Proverbs 3:5-8, KJV. The 'heart' in Hebrew is the seat of understanding, wisdom, reflection, emotions, passions, desires, and will. It is more than just the emotions, and more than just the mind of reason. It includes both and all of these. 'Understanding' in Hebrew is the faculty of wisdom, perceiving of meaning, discerning knowledge and truth. So If I may translate this passage in a way that speaks to me: Trust in the Lord with all your being, and do not rely upon your ability to figure things out, but in all your actions acknowledge who God is, and He will lead and direct you in the right paths. Don't be a smart aleck, but fear God and turn away from arrogance and pride. It will be blessing of peace and bring health to your being and your body. If resting from the stress of striving alone is a benefit, it is a good start. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jefferis Peterson, Pres. Web Design and Marketing http://www.PetersonSales.com
