The EC then vs now comparison is not a slam on the man as an artist overall, 
but it's an argument that is begging Clapton to not ignore the fact that 
he's the best guitar player of his era and even now, if he decided to turn 
it on, he'd be the best..

The fact that many of us believe he's grown accustomed to the same style of 
playing post FTC and NBTB tours is not saying we don't like his guitar work, 
but we're saying that he has the potential to play differently and when he 
does choose to play songs such as All Your lOve, hideaway, you can hear 
nothing of what you heard 30 years ago..
