[m] I gotta say, from what I saw they were quite nice.  The one guy in the
middle on Monday night was kind enough to grab me a setlist, and the same
fellow on Tuesday night spotted a small boy with a camera way back in the
2nd floor section, and motioned for him to come up right in front of the
stage so the boy could take his picture.  And then right about the time that
Barry slipped up for the pre-Layla rush (Hi Barry) the guard went back,
grabbed the boy and his dad and brought him up to front center, which I
thought was awesome.  If that kid ain't an EC fan now, there's no hope.
At any rate, I think it's important to realize that it's these guys' jobs to
keep people in their assigned seats, which with New Yorkers is pretty much
like trying to herd cats.

Yes, saw you over there get the whole thing started - I was another pick
recipient, although I didn't get the "Across America 2004" but instead a
Crossroads Festival pick.  Then there was some maniac near me who tried to
vault over the rail to grab one of Randolph's picks - the security guy
behind the barricade tossed him back over with a great New York "Are you
f*&Kin' CRAZY?". Dunno why, the guy looked familiar.

It's also interesting reading the different impressions of the MSG shows.

It works better on a TV, and yes he played the string off the guitar, and no
he didn't want to swap, and yes he kept playing.  Best of all check out
Nathan gesturing as they walk off the stage ... priceless!
