While listening to the recorded shows from this tour, I am impressed by
the renewed intensity in Eric's playing. I'm sure Doyle has contributed
to it, but I just have to think EC is in a different place as a person
and that is manifesting itself through his playing. In the past, when EC
was able to loosen up, away from the formal "TOUR" construct, he would
demonstrate a greater enthusiasm in his playing. That is why I so
greatly enjoy listening to the shows he's done, to celebrate the New
Year, at the Woking Leisure Center. Jane Newell has most generously
shared these shows with me and now, I would like to share them with my
fellow Slowhanders.

I believe this is the New Year's Eve show from Dec. 31, 2001 - January
1, 2002. It sounds like a line recording but, the sound is a little
overdriven. The musical performances, however, are superb. That is not
to say that they are technically flawless, I believe only 1 day of
rehearsal is alloted for the show. What you get are some very fine
musicians playing the music they love and having FUN doing it. They're
not doing it for the money, they're doing it for themselves! The set
list is:
