It depends on what you want to do. iTunes can import using AAC, Apple Lossless, or mp3 (with a bitrate of up to 320). I'm not an audiophile, but IMHO, mp3's @ 320 or lossless compression should be ok. Correct me if I'm wrong. I would suggest running a windoze box for EAC and the like.
