I'll be there @ the Bowl. Am lucky enough to have secured backstage
passes thru Billy. Can't wait or sleep at this point.

I've been lurking and thoroughly enjoying the postings of Slowhanders
since my
epiphany at Crossroads in June when I met Slowhanders Extraordinaire --
Pat, Mark &
Eddie. I didn't know what a wealth of Clapton information and music
existed until that
weekend. I am being tutored in trading and am anxious to participate
but I need some
technical advice.

I own a Mac iBook and have always used iTunes for my own music
duplication needs.
I checked out the information on geetarz.org and tried to download the
extraction
software that was suggested there, but found that a Mac version is not
yet available.

My question: will iTunes be sufficient for trading quality
requirements? Any Mac
expert Slowhanders out there willing to advise? Thanks for any help!

Robie
(p.s. - Mark, if you're there, I'll see my Italian connection this
weekend!)

The Portland show was great. EC was on fire I saw him
on hiw last two tours and this was my thrid, this tour
was by far my favorite because he played a bunch of
older songs and not so much from his new CD which he
usually does. Which leads me to believe that this may
be hsi last tour (the program also gave me that
feeling as it gave an over view of the last 4
decades.) Anyways I loved the show and one other thign
that made it the best EC show and over concert I have
ever seen (I have seen alot of 60's-70's bands) is
because my girlfriend wen with me which just made it
all the more special, espically when he palyed
Wonderful tonight. Okay enough of the love story. As
you all know I tried to get him a copy of the NBTB DVD
(thanks to Greg for sending it to me, If yo udon't
have I recommend you get a copy, I would offer it but
don't have a DVD burner). Along with the DVD I
included a letter so I hope they both made it to him
and can now only hope to hear from some who is
connected to him or even him (neither of which will
happen). Hope all of you who will get to him in CA
will enjoy it as much as I did.

I was wondering if anyone out there knows what ever
happened to EC's Firebird he played in Blind fait and
Cream? "Legend" has it that he sold it to Lynard
Skynyrd and they sold it to a private party. Teh
reason I have this so Called "legend" is because a guy
I know very well bought it from Skynyrd and they told
him that. Now both he and I are on the search to find
out if this is true and alos need a really good
picture of teh neck (more towards the bridge) it needs
to close and clear so that you can see the grain of
the wood. so if anyone out there has any pictures of
it please contact me. I am getting very despreate to
find this and also to see if anyone knows what happend
to the guitar. Pictures and stuff are hard to come
across of him playing it but I know there are soem
pics in the Slowhand- the life and music of EC and
also ther si a clip of him playing it on the NBTB DVD
in one of the interview/Documentary parts he is
playign in the studio with I think it is Buddy Guy. If
any one has info. on this Please contact me. I woudl
greatly appericate it. Thanks,
~Kavin

Hi Lisa,
I have not heard about any pre-show gatherings but the Bowl is not
exactly around any watering holes to gather. I have no clue about the
layout as I have not been to the bowl in years, but maybe we should all
meet at one of the concession stands 30 minutes before Robert Randolph??

How about a show of hands....Who on the digest will be at the show????

Scott

Hi all,
Somebody called ToeKneeF seemed very disturbed because my offer of
Crossroads festival recording was for EU slowhanders only. I didn't want
to hurt anybody by this, it's just because I don't want to get in
serious trouble with these offers. Only a couple of months ago a Finnish
trader of live recordings was fined 50 000 euros just for distributing
illegitimate recordings (Morrisette, Dylan etc.). This action was a
result of normal customs checks of mail and internet sites. The mails
inside EU are treated the same way as mails inside my home country.
So I just want to stay outside the jail with these modest offers.

I'm sorry I benefitted from ToeKneeF's unselfish offer and ended up
doing him so wrong. This will never happen again. And of course, if
somebody here on SD has the same unreasonably self-righteous way of
thinking as ToeKneeF PLEASE DON'T BOTHER RESPONDING
TO ANY OFFER OF MINE. I'M MAKING A LIST AND CHECKING IT TWICE :*)

Cheers and keep on growin'

Olli

"""
ToeKneeF wrote in his great and revealing message:::
"""As someone who has regularly offered freebies to fellow Slowhanders,
without restriction, it disturbs me when people who have benefited from
my offers, and probably those of other US Slowhanders as well, place
geographic restrictions on their offers.....

As for myself, let me say that if any Slowhander makes a freebie offer
and places geographic limitations on it, PLEASE DON'T BOTHER RESPONDING
TO ANY OFFER OF MINE. I'M MAKING A LIST AND CHECKING IT TWICE.""""
