Congratulations to Mr. C. 
This made me smile in particular, because recently when sorting out some old tapes. I came across an interview Eric did with Sue Lawley, on TV over here in approximately 1992, where he stated that he wanted a 'normal life' , coming home to the wife and two (three?!) kids. At the time being single and having recently lost Connor, he said he thought it would never happen. So good on ya Eric!

  Baby joy and royal date for Clapton 

  Music legend Eric Clapton is expecting his fifth child at the age of 59, he has revealed. 

  His 28-year-old American wife Melia McEnery is seven months pregnant. 

  Clapton revealed the news as he accepted a CBE for services to music at Buckingham Palace. 

  "My wife is pregnant and she is expecting in January," he said. 

  The couple, who married three years ago in a secret ceremony, already have two daughters - Julie Rose, three, and 18-month-old Ella Mae. 

  Clapton also has a 19-year-old daughter, Ruth, by previous partner Yvonne Kelly. 

  His four-year-old son Conor died in 1991 when he fell from a window of Clapton's Manhattan apartment. The star wrote the song Tears In Heaven as a tribute. 

  The guitarist, nicknamed Slowhand, was accompanied to the Palace by Melia, who wore a long grey dress and black shawl. 

  Clapton left their two young daughters at home for the occasion, joking: "They don't like you to bring anyone under five because it can get a bit chaotic." 

  The rock guitarist was presented with his CBE for services to music by the Princess Royal and described it as the "icing on the cake" of his glittering career.
