[Slowhand] Geetarz Web-Site Sale

Okay, so you're reading.... I'll probably get some flak for this, but hey!

With thanks to Roy Houston for steering me to a suitable tool, I can now
report that I have archived the whole of AG's site to disk. I've made an
auto-run DVD, using a cut-down HTML browser I've customised with Delphi.
Whilst one's favourite browser may be used to advantage, at least it will
run out of the jiffy-bag/mailer.

Were Geetarz's site a living entity, there would be little point in this
exercise, but it has remained static for the last nine months and liable to
vanish overnight. One of my favourite adages is "if you don't want it, don't
look after it".

To humour Tone, I hereby request Mark's permission to distribute the
contents of this disk.
It's gone awfully quiet; but if it drags Mark out of hiding, it's worth it.

Inevitably, some of the site's links are broken and I've retained that
feature. My acquisition was restricted to the site and the embedded external
links will force a web search.

It's nice having a responsive local search and I'm sure some of you will
welcome a copy. It seems appropriate to offer on this list, since the bulk
of the discussion has occurred here and it's not a boot.

I am offering three copies of this data DVD to parties that respond
off-Digest with an address and promise to re-offer in turn.

John
