I got a 6-pack of Layla Dirty Blonde Lager from a local grocery store a couple years ago - with a name like that, I couldn't pass it up. I ended up with 5 bottles too many, and the store understandably did not carry it for long. It has an unexceptional flavor and a bit of an unappealing aftertaste, but I'm biased because I don't much like amber lagers anyway.

Their website http://laylabeer.com/ has info, radio and TV ads, and a good review by alleged experts:

Layla Scores 87 Rating from
Beverage Testing Institute and
All About Beer Magazine

"Medium amber color. Sour, smoky, and fruity yeast aromas. A round entry leads to a dry-yet-fruity light-to medium bodied caramelized malt palate with light toffee, dried fruit, and roasted nut flavors. Finishes with a sweet citrus and earthy hop fade. An interesting blend of sweet malt, sour yeast, and roasted flavors. (tasted 2005-10-01)"

On the other hand, it's better than that peppermint Schnapps out favorite guitarist used to guzzle.

Cheers,
brooz - on his way to the local brew pub for a bitter
