Use "HandBrake" or "InstantHandBrake" <http://handbrake.m0k.org/> to  
rip the song from the DVD. If using the full version, scale the video  
(under "Picture Settings") to a width of 320 pixels (retaining aspect  
ratio). "InstantHandBrake" has an iPod setting that you can choose.

Finally, simply add the video to iTunes, and transfer it to your  
video iPod.
