Mel,

Are you aware that Robin Trower is playing The Mystic in Petaluma on
9/19 and Jeff Beck at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland on 9/24 ??

These two shows are highest on my radar this late summer/fall.

I've seen Bonnie and she is really great, though I must admit to being
disappointed in her for having dropped Lowell George of Little Feat off
her list of influences these past 20 some years. Why she has gone to
*never mentioning* how much Lowell taught her and nurtured her I'll
never know or understand.

Lowell used to be cited by Bonnie as her mentor and biggest influence on
guitar, especially der 11/16" Craftsman deep socket slide playin'...Lowell
is, in my rarely humble and always singlular opinion, the greatest slide
player
to ever live. Now we have Derek Trucks, fortunately, to take things to
levels that only Lowell himself would have reached.

Keb' Mo (Kevin Moore) is fantastic when he does what he does best, that
Delta Robert Johnson/Son House/Johnny Shines/Charlie Patton kinda thing,
but his electric stuff leave me flat.

Have a great time.

Then Play On.......
