Proving once again that the only way to get positive press out of the New York Times is to be a marxist or dictator, here's a fun and interesting comparison of differing perspectives on the same event.

Okay, read the reviews of the 2nd MSG show from the WE! Site:

Understandably, the reviews are a bit breathless and fannish, but also given by folks who have a far better than average grasp of EC's career ups-and-downs and *know* a good show from a bad one.  Many of these same reviewers were understandably brutal on tours where EC *was* phoning in his performances.

Even though readership and revenues are falling through the floor (and they seemingly can't figure out why), the Gray Lady manages to depress MILLIONS of people every day with its amazingly negative coverage of ... well, EVERYTHING. Interesting to see their coverage of something as simple as a concert ... and keep it in mind next time you read items from the NEWS pages <g>

Someone really does need to put antidepressants or something in the water coolers at the NYT ... and this reviewer needs a double dose!
