Observant readers will note that yesterday's post was also titled 
"December 13".  Either there are two December 13's this month, or I was 
sleep deprived when I wrote the former. My apologies to any 
triskaidekaphobiacs in the audience.  
This is the actual "December 13" post, accept no substitutes.  It was 
delayed today by ... nothing.  That's right, we awoke to nothing. No 
lights, no water, no phone, no HEAT ... the power company has rectified 
the situation (apparently light poles jump directly in front of cars 
when it's foggy) and things are now approaching normal. Whatever that is.
At any rate ...
On this day in 1990, EC finished the epic 1990 world tour in Yokohama.  
As a prelude to "A Remark You Made", the band offered a short rendition 
of "Auld Lang Syne" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auld_lang_syne) as a 
nod to the end of the tour, before tearing into the final performance of 
"Layla" for the year. A fitting end to one of the best EC tours (and 
bands) ever ...

P.S. I am aware that "This Day in EC History" is a very lame title, but
