Even with its production excesses, half of Pilgrim is pretty good. The other half though. . .no. As a totality, it just doesn't work. 

My problem with the album is that it is overproduced, and runs for 72 minutes that wind up feeling like 3 hours.

I agree that there are some real quality songs on it. But they all sounded better live.
