1. reading the reprinted articles in the guitar legends EC special issue, it was interesting to read that EC bought his first wah wah from manny's in new york in 1967, and did "Tale of Brave Ulysses" the same day (i dont know if he meant the album recording or possibly live at MSG). maybe that's why he chose to add that song to the setlist during the Cream reunion shows at MSG in NY?
2. i am in the middle of watching brad paisley's "fifth gear" concert special on GAC. during the interview footage, he credits EC for saving him from years of ridicule in high school. anyways, during one of his songs, he and his second guitarist play biggie-sized wah wahs, balancing on them back and forth like mini surfboards! also, he finishes his hit song "she's everything I need" in a similar manner to the closing of "wonderful tonite", which is a very similar song in structure. his closing guitar solo in this song is outstanding as well.....
