I was completely unaware of that.  So sad.

That sounds like a more likely possibility.  If we do see another Cream reunion, I suspect it will not because of money (EC has plenty) or "unfinished business" (been there done that in 2005).  It would require a cause and honoring Ahmet Ertegun would be a worthy one.
