<<...So its clear from his autobiography and
the interviews that [EC]has treated women like crap
for
most of his adult life....So where is the outrage and
disgust from all the female digesters??? Why do
entertainers always get a 'pass' for this type of
behaviour?? I always found this rather
interesting...>>

I can't speak for all females, or for all
entertainers, but... I got the impression that EC
hasn’t treated the men in his life with much greater
respect than he has the women. He talks about his
disdain for authority figures of any sort. He wasn’t
particularly impressed by The Beatles, or Dylan. He
walked out on, or fired, several bands at various
stages of success. The best of his male friendships
seem to be based on how well they can prank each
other. And yet, he usually manages to leave the
impression that he’s still quite the charming
gentleman – no mean feat, that. He’s honest (often too
honest), he’s emotional, he’s childlike in many ways,
all of which can be quite endearing. And, he writes
*exceptionally* divine love letters – with, or without
words. (Oh yeah, he’s got that guitar playing thing
down pretty well, too, so points for that :-)

Cheers, Janet
